The garbage disposal is installed under the kitchen sink. The garbage disposal grinds food waste into pieces small enough to pass through your plumbing system. Inside the grinding chamber, there is a rotating metal turntable that the food waste drops onto. There are two metal swiveling impellers that grind the food waste.
When using your garbage disposal, you should always run COLD water in it before and after grinding food waste.
