Ways to Avoid Your Plumber

avoid your plumberWays to Avoid Your Plumber

Maybe you have an irrational fear of plumbers. Maybe the thought of a plumber coming to your home causes great anxiety. Maybe with social distancing, you want to keep everyone who isn’t living in your household out of your home. Whatever the case may be, there are ways to keep your plumber at bay!

DON’T pour grease down your kitchen drain!

DON’T use your garbage disposal as a food waste disposal!

DON’T flush wipes, feminine products, or toilet bowl cleaner heads!

DO put a catcher in your shower/tub drains to catch hair!

DO test shutoff valves to make sure they are working properly!

DON’T use drop-in cleaning tablets that you put into your toilet tank!

DON’T start a DIY if it’s definitely something you should not be DIY-ing!

DO disconnect your hose from your hose bib!

DO install a hose bib cover to help protect from freezing!

DO test your sump pump for proper operation!

DO have the correct plungers for toilets and drains!

If you’re doing all of the above, you’re off to a great start keeping our plumbers out of your home! If you run into a situation where you have to make the dreaded call to us to have a plumber come take care of an issue, give us a call at 785-341-4193 and we’ll get you taken care of and show you that there’s nothing to be afraid of!
