Uses For Sponges

Did you know there are some clever uses for sponges that don’t require cleaning?  Place a sponge in the bottom of a flower pot before adding the soil and plant, it will retain moisture until the next watering.  Put a wet sponge in a zip top bag and freeze to make an ice pack to sooth bumps and bruises, or toss a couple frozen sponges spongesin a lunch box to keep contents cool.  Rest your bar of soap on a sponge in the shower or bathtub to prevent it from falling.  *Kitchen sponges carry more bacteria than your toilet!  You should microwave your sponge for 2 minutes at least once a week to kill germs.  Enjoy these clever uses for sponges.  De Hart Plumbing, serving Manhattan Kansas, Junction City Kansas and Wamego Kansas.
