Did you know that hair is one of the defining characteristics of humans?  Hair grows everywhere on the external body except for the palms of your hands, soles of your feet and on the lips.  The body has different types, giving unique characteristics, serving specific purposes, mainly warmth and protection.  The consistency of hair is grouped into three categories: fine, medium and coarse. The Andre Walker Hair Typing System was created by him when he was Oprah Winfrey’s hairstylist.  According to him there are four types: straight, wavy, curly and kinky.  Knowing your type allows you to know what products to use and how to take care of it.  One thing you can do is find a local beauty school and have your hair type classified and learn how to best care for it and what products are good or not good to use.  It will be a good teaching tool for the students as well.  De Hart Plumbing, serving Manhattan Kansas, Junction City Kansas and Wamego Kansas.
