Foods not to toss too soon.  Eggs-refrigerated uncooked eggs can last up to three weeks past the “sell by”date.  Peppers- All peppers can last a week in the refrigerator, green peppers stay fresh even longer, two to three weeks because of their low sugar content.  Deli Meats – unopened vacuum sealed pouches of deli meats can last two to three weeks, after opening you should eat within three to five days.  Carrots – carrots stay fresh for two to three weeks in the crisper drawer.
