Have you ever wondered how your toilet flush tank works? Beyond water coming and going through the tank to dispose of waste, there is actually a rather interesting system in operation. The main force used by most tanks is gravity. Once you press on the toilet handle, water that is in the tank begins to pour through the holes under the rim of the bowl.  As more water passes through the holes, the velocity of the water increases, as does the pressure, creating a vacuum and sucking action, this action pulls both water and waste out of the bowl into the sewage treatment system. Your toilet tank has parts inside that assist with all the functions needed to flush waste. leaky-toilets-00
