Spring is one of the four conventional temperate seasons. The axis of the earth is increasing its tilt relative to the sun. The length of daylight is rapidly increasing for the relevant hemisphere. The hemisphere begins to warm significantly causing new plant growth to “spring forth’, thus giving the season of spring it’s name. Snow from winter begins to melt causing rivers and streams to swell with runoff. Flooding is most common near mountainous regions. Unstable weather can also occur in spring when warm air can invade from lower latitudes, while cool air is still pushing from the polar regions. Many flowering plants and trees bloom this time of year continuing into early summer. This season is seen as a time of growth and renewal of new life, both plant and animal being born and the start of better times. Many cultural events are celebrated around the world to welcome spring. De Hart Plumbing, serving Manhattan Kansas, Junction City Kansas and Wamego Kansas.
