Our plumbers, at least one day a year should be spent celebrating the people protect the health of the modern world, right? Where would we be without our hard-working plumbers who aren’t afraid to get down and dirty and take care of your plumbing needs? What would we do without these brave technicians who aren’t afraid of crawl spaces and ready and willing to come face to face with any critters who may be lurking under your home?
Major leaps in plumbing have been made in the last 100 years but artifacts of plumbing dates back to 3,000 B.C. in India where copper pipes used for transporting water were discovered. The Roman Empire used aqueducts to move water and also had underground sewer systems. The first flushing toilet was invented in 1596 by Sir John Harington. The first water heater for private homes was developed in the 1870s which also allowed for pressurized hot water. And between 1900-1930 the indoor, siphoning toilet was invented.
So show your plumber some appreciation for improving our lives, being there when you need them, and keeping us all healthier with a big hug, high-five, or a nice cold drink!
