Call the Plumber

Here are a few handy tips of when to call the plumber.  If you have a water leak whether it is a faucet, under the sink (pipes or garbage disposal)dehart-plubming-logo, tub, shower, laundry room, water heater or hose bib.  If you don’t know how to fix it, call the plumber.  I cant tell you how many times a call comes in and the customer has let the problem persist for weeks, sometimes months.  If you take care of the problem as soon as it occurs, it will cost less to repair.  Notice I said repair.  Most often, if you wait too long, the word “replace” takes the place of “repair”.   The same goes for your sewer system.  If it repeatedly backs up and it has to be augured every three-four months, you have a problem that is not going to go away.  You are better off having the sewer replaced than to keep investing in having it augured regularly.  Most of the time roots in the sewer is the problem.  The only way roots penetrate your sewer is because there is a crack or break that is just big enough for roots to wiggle their way in.  People take their plumbing for granted and are surprised when it fails.  Remember, your plumbing needs regular preventive maintenance.  De Hart Plumbing, serving Manhattan Kansas, Junction City Kansas and Wamego Kansas.
