Autumn

Autumn, otherwise known as fall is one of four seasons.  Fall marks the transition from summer into winter.  The arrival of night becomes noticeably earlier, and the temperature begins to cool.  One of the main features of fall is the shedding of leaves from deciduous trees. Eastern Canada and New England are famous for their fall foliage and attracts major tourism for the regions.  Fall is September, October, and November in the northern hemisphere.  Many foods are harvested during the autumn, particularly corn, pumpkins, squash, and apples.  Halloween is also associated with the season with a widespread marketing campaign in the US.  Television stations and networks traditionally begin their seasons with new episodes and series during late September (fall).
