The feet are divided into three sections.  The forefoot is made up of five toes known as phalanges and five long bones are known as metatarsals.  The midfoot is a collection of bones that form the arch of the foot.  These include three cuneiform bones, the cuboid bone, and the navicular bone.  The hindfoot forms the heel and ankle.  The talus bone supports the leg bones known as the tibia and fibula, forming the ankle. The heel bone De Hart Plumbing and Heating and Cooling - Manhattan, KS 66502known as the calcaneus is the largest bone in the foot.
