Veterans Day 2014

Veterans Day 2014 is here. Veterans day is an official United States holiday that honors people who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.  It is a federal holiday that is observed on November 11th.  It coincides with Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, which are observed in other parts of the world and to mark the anniversary of the end of WWI.  WWI formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918.  Congress amended a bill in June 1954 that officially recognized Veterans Day.  Because Veterans Day is a federal holiday, many American workers and students have the day off from work and school.  Veterans Day is celebrated with many parades and discounts in stores and restaurants to honor veterans.  Today and every day, thank our veterans for the great sacrifice they choose to make for our freedom.  De Hart Plumbing, serving Manhattan Kansas, Junction City Kansas and Wamego Kansas.  Veterans Day 2014
