Winter Driving Tips

Here are some winter driving tips.  *Don’t drive when tired   *Make sure your tires are properly inflated  *Never warm your vehicle up in an enclosed area such as a garage  *Keep your gas tank full  *Never use cruise control when roads are slippery  *Always wear your seatbelt-you would be surprised at the people who still don’t always wear seatbelts  *Make sure you cell phone is properly charged in case of an emergency  *Have a supply of granola bars and water in case you break down and are stranded in a storm  *If you get trapped in a snow storm, stay in your vehicle  *If you take daily medication, have some stored in your car in case you do get stranded  *If stranded, tie a bright colored cloth to your antenna or close it at the top of a window to signal you need help  *Make sure your exhaust pipe isn’t clogged with snow, ice or mud as a clogged pipe can lead to carbon monoxide poisoning when running the engine to stay warm  *Have a supply of blankets in your car during the winter months  *The best tip of all – stay home if weather conditions are hazardous.  De Hart Plumbing,  serving Manhattan Kansas, Junction City Kansas and Wamego Kansas.
