Fabric Stains

fabric stainsFabric stains can ruin your day.  Make sure you read the fabric label before treating a stain.  Always use cleaning products according to manufacturers instructions.  Apply stain removers to the back of a stain; this will push the stain out of the back of the fabric.  Do not apply heat (iron, hair dryer etc.) to fabric stains, until you know the stain has been removed.  Allow fabric to air-dry, then treat again if needed.  Test for colorfastness first by treating an inside seam or an area that doesn’t show.  Lastly, if you have to take a garment to the dry cleaners, show them the stain and tell them what it is from so they can treat it accordingly.
