Water Heaters in 2015

Major changes will take place with water heaters in 2015.  New water heater efficiency regulations will go into effect April 16,2015.  New government mandates will force manufacturers of gas, electric or oil fired water heaters to increase their efficiency by April of this year.  New water heaters will most likely be larger because of increased insulation.  That could mean there’s a chance it wont fit in the same space as the old one did. Homeowners may have to move water heaters to  another part of the house, switch to tankless or purchase a smaller one with less capacity.  The good news is the April 16,2015 deadline doesn’t mean everything will immediately change.  These new regulations will affect the manufacturer, supplier, installer and the buyer.  De Hart Plumbing will keep you informed on this change as it progresses.  De Hart Plumbing, serving Manhattan Kansas, Junction City Kansas and Wamego Kansas.dehart-plubming-logo
