We are in a winter freeze here in the Midwest. Calls are coming in to De Hart Plumbing for frozen pipes. Some important things to do to prevent pipes from freezing are: Keep cabinet doors open under all sinks to allow warmer air to circulate. Let faucets drip. Keep your thermostat set at the same temperature day and night, it might be smart to add a few degrees until the winter freeze relents. These precautions may add more money to your utility bill, but it is better than the alternative – a huge plumbing bill from frozen/burst pipes. Stay warm and safe.
