Your Air Conditioner

Your air conditioner is a complex system.  Your air conditioner depends on a wide variety of conditions to work correctly.  They are designed to meet the certain “load” on the house and to have a certain amount of refrigerant to be able to “cool” appropriately.  They are also designed to have a certain amount of air flow across the coils. When any of these things change your system can have problems and not be able to keep up with the cooling.  If refrigerant leaks out, you will get less cooling and the system will not be able to keep up.  If your evaporator coil freezes, performance drops and it can damage the compressor until it fails, leaving you with an expensive repair bill.  Almost every air conditioning system has a filter upstream of the coil.  As the filter does its job, it gets loaded with particles that can actually effect the efficiency of your system.  If you do not change the filter regularly, the air flow of your system will be reduced plus a new filter is a lot cheaper than having to call in a professional.  Routine maintenance at the start of each cooling season and changing the filter monthly can leave you with a nice cool home during the summer heat.  De Hart Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, serving Manhattan Kansas, Junction City Kansas and Wamego Kdehart-slideansas.
