New Year’s Eve

New Year’s Eve is the last day of the year, December 31.  In many countries it is celebrated at evening social gatherings where people eat, dance and drink alcoholic beverages and watch or light fireworks.  The celebrations generally go on past midnight into January 1 – New Year’s Day.  The portrayal of festivities in the United States has helped ingrain the celebration into American pop-culture.  Beginning on the radio in 1928 and on CBS television from 1956-1976.  One of the most prominent celebrations today is the “ball drop” in New York City’s Times Square.  Many people don’t  know that the “ball Drop” has been held since 1907.  It has grown over the years to around a million spectators annually.  What ever your choice of celebrating the “New Year”, celebrate and drink safely.  De Hart Plumbing would like to wish everyone a prosperous, healthy New Year!  De Hart Plumbing, serving Manhattan Kansas, Junction City Kansas and Wamego Kansas.Lawrence-and-Son
