If your toilet seat cracks you can do a fix-it project with some wood glue and a bar clamp. Remove the seat, spread the crack open and add a generous amount of glue to both sides, squeeze together with the bar clamp, wipe off excess glue and allow to dry over night. Then reinstall. If it cracks again you simply need to replace it with a new one.
