Whole House Humidifier

Do you need a whole house humidifier?  As the days have gotten colder, the air in your home has gotten drier.  Yes, lotion helps when your skin dries out.  Most people are familiar with the portable types of humidifiers that get set up in individual rooms. You fill a tank with water and the machine adds humidity into the air until it runs out of water or you shut it off.

A whole house humidifier installs directly onto your heating and cooling system.  It introduces humidity in the form of a water vapor through your ductwork.  The level of humidity is then monitored and controlled by your thermostat, just like your temperature.  You can control an even level of moisture released into your home all year long.

There are some good benefits to having a whole house humidifier installed in your home.  Many viruses thrive in low-humidity environments.  An overly dry environment can make people more susceptible to infection.  Putting humidity into your home can help reduce the incidence of some illnesses.  Over- dry air can aggravate asthma and allergy symptoms and lead to dry noses, sore throats, and dry itchy skin. The whole house humidifier can also put an end to surprising shocks of static electricity.

Dry air can damage some things in your home to include wood floors, plaster, paint, artwork, and electronics to name a few.  A whole house humidifier, therefore, protects your home and the adverse effects of dry air over the long term.  De Hart Plumbing Heating and Cooling serving Manhattan Kansas, Junction City Kansas, Topeka Kansas and some surrounding areas.  Whole House Humidifier
