Blower Wheel Servicing
During your annual AC maintenance service, your technician may mention that your blower wheel is dirty and needs serviced. Your blower wheel is what pushes air through the HVAC system, for both AC and heat. A build up of dust as little as 1/10th of an inch can reduce your HVAC system efficiency by 20% and causes the motor to run hot which will reduce the lifespan of not only the blower wheel and motor, but the full system as well.
During a blower wheel servicing, our technician will disassemble, completely clean, add lubrication, reassemble, and test operations to ensure the blower motor and wheel is working as efficiently as possible.
Changing filters monthly will also help keep dust and debris off the blower wheel as well as off other important components of your HVAC system. Keeping your blower motor and wheel maintained and serviced annually, along with annual AC and furnace maintenance, will increase the life-span of your HVAC system.
