Bad Smell Through Your Vents?

Imagine with me, it’s a hot Summer day and you’re coming home from a long day at work and all you want is an ice cold glass of tea and to sit and enjoy the AC in your home. You get home, open the front door and feel the cool blast hit your face, but then smell a horrible foul smell in the home. What is that?? You search high and low and come to the conclusion that there might be something dead in the vents.

So, what do you do when you think something died in your ducts or HVAC system? Well, you call the professionals of course! Rodents and critters have a way of finding their way into your home if they can find any opening to squeeze through and sometimes, they can’t find a hole to squeeze back out of.

Your trusted HVAC technician who knows the ins and outs of your equipment will be able to properly inspect your ductwork and HVAC system to include the exhaust which, if not covered, can allow for flying animals to enter your HVAC equipment. It’s not uncommon for animals to get caught in the blower wheel and be found many months later by HVAC technicians.

If you think that you might have a critter that has started to call your HVAC system and ductwork a home, give us a call at 785-341-4193 and let our technicians get the unmentionables out of your equipment!
