Here are some helpful household hints. KITCHEN: Keep a large bottle of 3% hydrogen peroxide under the kitchen sink, it has multiple uses. Sanitize plastic cutting boards, wipe off dirty can opener blades and kill bacteria in the kitchen sink drain. BATHROOM: You can clean the bathroom sink, bathtub and shower for just pennies with the cheapest hair shampoo. Use a plastic scrubber to apply straight from the bottle, then rinse off. Do this after showering and the gunk will not build up. LAUNDRY: For under a quarter you can make a pre-wash stain remover for washable clothes. Mix 1/3- cup nonsudsing clear ammonia, 1/3- cup regular dishwashing liquid and 1/3- cup water. Pour and mix in a clearly labeled spray bottle.  Apply to stains and allow to sit for 5 minutes, then wash immediately. De Hart Plumbing, serving Manhattan Kansas, Junction City Kansas and Wamego Kansas.
