Preventing drain clogs just takes a little common sense. Kitchen drain clogs are the most common. Most often the clog is caused by a build up of grease that eventually traps food particles and slowly closes off the drain. Proper disposal of kitchen waste will keep sink drain clogs to a minimum. Never, ever put grease down the drain. Don’t wash coffee grounds down the drain, throw them out. Be sure to clean floor drain strainers on a regular basis. Some tub, showers and basement floor drains have strainers that you can remove and rinse. Good preventive maintenance practices can save you a call to the plumber. If you ever need a plumber call: De Hart Plumbing – serving Manhattan Kansas, Junction City Kansas and Wamego Kansas.
