Meditation – five minutes and you’re done! Meditation trains your brain to focus on the moment, instead of worrying about what occurred in the past or what could happen in the future. Minute 1 – Sit straight-up in a chair, rest your hands on the tops of your thighs, legs hip- distance apart, feet flat on the floor. Close your eyes. Breath deeply, inhale to the count of four, exhale to the count of six. Minute 2 – Stop counting and allow your breathing to fall into an easy rhythm, not too deep and not too shallow. Minute 3 – Stay focused on your breathing. If thoughts enter your mind, imagine them as a cloud floating away. Minute 4 – Relax and breath. Minute 5 – Transition your thoughts to how relaxed you feel. Open your eyes, stand up and tackle your day with ease.
