Recipe for fruit bars. *1- box of yellow cake mix *2/3-cup quick oats *1/2-cup butter-melted *1-egg-beaten *any fruit filling *any chopped nuts-your choice (optional). Preheat oven to 375* In a medium bowl mix together cake mix, melted butter, 1/3-cup oats, egg and optional nuts. Reserve 1-cup of mixture and mix other 1/3-cup oats into it. Press rest of mixture in bottom of 9 x 13 pan. Bake 15 minutes. Remove from oven and spread fruit filling to edges. Sprinkle 1-cup reserved cake/oat mixture evenly over top. Bake 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool and cut into squares. De Hart Plumbing, Heating and Cooling, serving Manhattan Kansas, Junction City Kansas and some surrounding areas.
