To keep your pet safe, be careful what they eat. You should never feed your pet anything with artificial sweeteners, such as xylitol. Also avoid all chocolate, some chocolate is not as toxic as others but best rule is to never let your pet eat any chocolate. Fatty and fried foods can cause digestive problems. Grapes, raisins, macadamia nuts and avocados are toxic to their digestive systems. These foods can cause a variety of symptoms including kidney failure, vomiting, diarrhea and gastrointestinal irritation.
