Although not used by the majority of the world’s countries, daylight saving time is common in the western world. Daylight saving time is the practice of advancing clocks during the lighter months so that the evenings have more apparent daylight and mornings have less. Typically clocks are adjusted forward one hour near the start of spring and are adjusted backward one hour in the autumn, thus using the terms, spring ahead and fall back. Daylight saving time clock shifts can present challenges. It can complicate timekeeping, disrupt meetings, travel, billing, record keeping, medical devices, heavy equipment, sleep patterns, and software. So before you go to bed Saturday night remember to “spring your time devices ahead”. De Hart Plumbing, serving Manhattan Kansas, Junction City Kansas and Wamego Kansas.
