Toilet Paper

We all know what toilet paper is used for, but did you know how long it has been around? Paper had been around for wrapping and padding since the 2nd century BC.  The first documented use of toilet paper for personal hygiene use was in China during 6th century BC, it was specifically mass produced during the 14th century.  Modern toilet paper originated in the 19th century, with a patent for roll- based dispensers being made in 1883. Most modern day toilet paper in the developed world is designed to decompose in septic tanks.  Toilet paper can be one, two or three ply, a single sheet or multiple sheets placed back to back to make it thicker, softer, stronger and more absorbent.  Twenty-six billion rolls of toilet paper are sold yearly  in America.  De Hart Plumbing, serving Manhattan Kansas, Junction City Kansas and Wamego Kansas.toilet paper
