Every car should have a winter survival kit. Snow, ice and freezing conditions are tough on your vehicle when you travel. Driving emergencies are greater in winter than the other three seasons. Listed are some items you should pack into a large container and keep in your trunk: *Blanket *Snow shovel *Flashlight *Matches/lighter *Water & protein bars *Light sticks & flairs *Cat litter (not the clumping kind ) *A whistle. Auto parts stores and mass merchandise stores sell complete kits already packed in a container. This could make a nice holiday gift for someone who does a lot of traveling during winter.
