The Better Business Bureau was founded in 1912. It is a non-profit organization. It’s main focus is to provide consumer protection and industry self regulation. Their mission is to be a leader in advancing marketplace trust. Their vision is to provide an ethical marketplace where buyers and sellers can trust each other. The Council of Better Business Bureaus (CBBB) is the network hub for BBB’s in the US and Canada. The Better Business Bureau is dedicated to fostering honest and responsive relationships between businesses and consumers. The BBB collects and provides free business reviews for over 4 million businesses. The BBB invites successfully vetted businesses to become dues-paying “Accredited Businesses” that pledge to adhere to the BBB Code of Business Practices.
