PEX Tubing

PEX TubingHave you been considering redoing some of your water supply lines in your home whether it’s just to one fixture or all throughout your home? You may consider changing out your old copper or rigid plastic pipes for PEX tubing.

PEX tubing is made from cross-linked polyethylene which allows for a great deal of flexion. With it being so flexible, it’s able to do 90-degree turns and navigate around obstacles without any connections. With much fewer connections, you are no longer susceptible to leaks in joints where it would usually occur with standard rigid pipes.

With its flexibility, it also allows for some expansion if frozen and will contract back to its original size when thawed. This makes it freeze-damage resistant but not freeze-proof. It’s a good idea to still use the same standard precautions during freezing weather to prevent frozen water lines.

PEX tubing is also far less susceptible to corrosion and mineral build-up compared to copper or plastic pipes.

If you have any questions or are ready to make the switch to PEX piping in your home or business, call us at 785-341-4193 to see what we can do for you!
