Here are some toilet tips you might not know about. If your toilet is about to overflow, quickly remove the tank lid, reach down and push the flush valve closed. It covers the tennis ball opening in the bottom of the tank. That keeps the bowl from overflowing while you clear the obstruction. Another toilet tip; remove the tank lid and drop a few drops of food coloring in the tank. wait 10-15 minutes.  If you see color in the bowl, the flapper valve is leaking and it is time to replace it.
